Let's Talk About The Weather

I know, I know, how boring can I be? But really, let's talk about the weather. People ask me if I'm going to miss the snow of central Wyoming. And truthfully, yes I will miss it. It's beautiful and cold and causes snowlight. What is snowlight you ask? Well, it is when the sky is full of snow clouds, the ground is covered in white, and the sun is in bed for the night. It creates a glow that is just so magical because it makes it seem like it is daytime outside. I created the term for my book Anguish and now it is something that I believe will be hard to live without.
Now, what I won't miss from central Wyoming is the product of the snow. You know when it melts then refreezes and becomes slippery, dangerous ICE! Yeah, I hate that crap and won't miss a minute of it. I fell so many times last winter that I can't even count. My poor body was battered and bruised all season. So, what weather will we be having here while the family is having snow in Wyoming? Summer!!!

I love this spring weather we are having. Well, we are kinda having it. You see we might get a few nice days in the sixties and it is beautiful and sunny but then suddenly, the temperature drops and the rain falls and it feels like winter again - not Wyoming winter of course, but Tasmania winter. I really don't mind it. I like that it mixes things up and you don't have the same crap every day for months. I don't think I am looking forward to summer though because they don't have central air here. I haven't lived without Central Air since I was a child back in Nevada. We had a huge evaporative cooler in the window in the dining room to cool the whole house.
So, here we have fans. Umm... IDK if I can do that but at this point I don't have much choice. I moved from Nevada because it was too hot. Let's hope it's not that bad here or I don't know what I'll do. I might have to stand on the street corner and sell myself to be able to afford fuel so DJ can take me somewhere cool during the hottest days. I am just hoping that it won't be so bad and it will fly by and we will quickly be in Autumn. I don't know what fall will bring here, I just know that I do miss the changing of the leaves in central Wyoming. Talk about beautiful!
And then it will be on to a Tasmanian rainy winter. It wasn't so bad really. And at least this year, I won't have to go through two winters in a row. Thank goodness. That was rough. Maybe the summer will finally thaw me out. Or maybe I will just stay chilled all year round. There could be worse things, believe me.
Until Next Time...
