I'm Officially Back In The Game

I've tried reviving my career a couple of times since my life took such a drastic turn, but my heart was never in it. I may have put all my books back on Amazon, but I didn't really advertise them too much. The time just didn't feel right. I even had a long bout of wondering if I even wanted to continue writing.
I decided to test myself and see if I could finish book 3 of my Robbins' Nest Inn Mysteries. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but something just hit. Something felt so right about what I was doing, and the ideas started to flow. I don't mean ideas for that specific book, but ideas for many more books in the series. I was absolutely addicted to Loralin and Devin and the crew at the Robbins Nest Inn. I hadn't felt this excited about writing since I wrote my YA romance/drama Anguish back in 2017.
So, now I was faced with the issue of where to even begin and where to take these characters that I suddenly loved more than anything. First step, as someone with fibro fog and perimenopause brain fog, I wrote down the first few ideas to get a hold on the order I wanted the stories in. Every time I would be in the middle of a book, I would get ideas for the next one or two. In the end, I had ideas for a 10-novel series. I'm not even sure when it began, but I would say for approx 4 months I wrote/edited 12-15 hours a day (except for about six days where I couldn't use screens). It was a nonstop, complete immersion into the world of the Robbins Nest Inn and Elk River, Wyoming. As soon as I was done writing book 10, book 3 was back from the editor and ready to be released (books 1 and 2 had previously been released and just needed to be submitted again).
It was time to choose a release date. February 19th looked perfect. There was no rhyme or reason to the choice; it just felt right. The hardest part has been getting the marketing machine ready. Facebook is now useless to most authors, especially if you've been out of commission for a while. I posted once a day for over a week and had no comments or reactions. It really sucked. It's starting to get a little better, but not by much, and not in time for this release. TikTok is finally giving me some views and likes, which is good since I didn't post on my author one much. I think that will be my driving force in the future. Instagram is useless and always has been even though they have a huge book community. And Twitter, which used to be my main place for sales, is just something I don't feel like messing with right now. I do have some other things I've been trying, and they are coming along, unfortunately, not in time for this release.
So, you'd think I would hold off a bit after book 3's release to build up some traction in social media accounts I ignored for years, right? Nope. Book 4 came back from the editors and is set to release on March 19th. There is a method to my madness, however, I'm using these two releases to build my traction back up.
I am so excited about this release, even if nobody sees my posts and sales fall flat. I still poured my heart and soul into it and can not wait for the day that people buy it and the rest of the series. Speaking of which, I will be releasing the rest of the books this year and hope to have all 10 books out by November at the latest.
Here's a little bit about the two books coming out soon.
1. Book 3 is called A Death in Tassie.
Loralin and Devin are happy to leave the murders at the Robbins Nest Inn behind. They head to Devin's home country for some rest, relaxation, and sausage rolls. But there's no rest for the weary as they soon become involved with a death in Tassie.

Most of your favorite characters are along for the ride, and you get to experience some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
2 Book 4 is called Dead Set on Adoption
Loralin comes home from Australia alone. She’s waiting for Devin to decide what their future will look like. When he returns, three months later, he brings his orphaned baby cousin, Lily, with him.

His first order of business is to get Loralin back. The second order of business is to find Lily a family. But nobody knows how dangerous that will be.
Loralin, Devin, and the town of Elk River are tasked with keeping the sweet baby safe while hunting for a murderer who just might be hiding in plain sight.
Once thing I will say about this series is that it is best read in order. The books follow a timeline of three years, and there may be some spoilers if read out of order. If you don't mind the spoilers, each book can stand alone. On Amazon and my website, you can find the first four books for .99 cents each. All of the books will be available wherever ebooks are sold.
